Mobikon announces expansion into new international markets Raises new round of growth funding from Life.SREDA & Qualgro

  • Funds to be deployed to scale in South East Asia; plans to expand in Manila & India, open office in Jakarta and hire talent in UAE
  • Plans to double the number of employees by the end of financial year 2015
  • Targets 200% growth in revenue this fiscal

New Delhi, October 08, 2015: Mobikon, the leading marketing platform for the F&B industry, today announced that it has raised undisclosed growth funding from Life.SREDA and Qualgro. The funding is in line with Mobikon’s plan to aggressively expand in South East Asia. Mobikon plans to use the funds to fuel rapid growth of the company across international markets, open office in Jakarta and conduct strategic hiring across UAE. Mobikon had earlier raised funding from Jungle Ventures, Spring Singapore and Lion Rock.

The new funds will help Mobikon invest in creating new tech infrastructure and provide restaurants with better products and faster upgrades. Mobikon is soon planning to launch a complete new platform focused on Restaurant Social Engagement, which will be a breakthrough for the restaurant industry.

Mobikon has been on an expansion spree in recent months. It raised funds from Jungle Ventures in July this year and acquired Triibe, a Singapore based customer engagement platform for restaurants in August 2015. Post the Triibe acquisition two months ago, Mobikon’s revenues from international markets jumped from 40% to 55% and is expected to reach 65% by the end of this financial year. The company is targeting 200% growth this year.

Mobikon was founded by Samir Khadepaun and Salil Khamkar. The company is today the leading digital platform for customer engagement and marketing for F&B industry and provides a single dashboard for the entire spectrum of restaurants; Quick Service, Fine Dine, Casual Dine and Cafes, to engage customers intelligently, with integration across ordering, reservations, feedback and marketing. Apart from India, Mobikon is present in Singapore, Manila, Dubai, Macau, Kuala Lumpur and plans to open office in Jakarta with this round of funding. The Mobikon platform currently powers 65,000+ reviews every month, over 130,000 new diners are added month on month and the platform engages 6,00,000+ diners every month. Some of the leading customers include; Copper Chimney, Pind Baluchi, Little Italy and Pizza Express in India and Swensens, Red Crab Group and Select Group, internationally.
Mobikon was chosen amongst 8 tech start-ups under LifeSREDA’s Accelerator Programme in July this year. This funding is a part of the Accelerator programme.
